We love little people

Last night we lined Caydence's little people up to see how many she had. Needless to say, she loves her little people! Note: she put baby Jesus in the middle of them. So sweet.

A new year, a new blog

I have been thinking about starting a new blog. I kept a blog for Caydence since I was preggers with her, and with lots of changes going on with Joe, I thought it would be nice to expand to a more family blog versus All about Caydence. It will probably still mostly be All about Caydence with a side of Joe and Stephanie.

The very talented Jessica helped me design my blog. She is responsible for the layout, pictures, and overall help for this momma who is new to blogger. You can check out more of her work here http://www.mybeatlesbabies.com/. Thank u Jessica!!!!!!!!!!

In case you want to see the old blog you can catch up here http://www.babysites.com/sites/steph0528/

Ok, so what's going on with us lately?

I am still amazed by this kid. Caydence has her annual heart checkup THIS wednesday. Hopefully we will get more information on her 3rd, and hopefully last surgery. She is up to 26 pounds, which is about 10% for her weight. She will be 3 (can you believe it) in February.

The guy below started police academy in November. A lot of people ask me how he likes it. Well, he doesn't like it. He LOVES it. He comes home so excited about his new career and talks for hours about stuff he is learning. I am very proud of him for going for his dream job!

He also had his 1 year cancer check up. Joe had surgery in December 2009 to remove a part of his kidney that had cancer in it. At his 1 year checkup we got the all clear and he doesn't have to go back for another year.

And just in case all that wasn't enough, he started back in school this fall to finish his Bachelor's degree.

Then there is me. I am still working on my ph.d. and leave this week for Atlanta to complete my year 2 residency.

I have also been working on doing a 360 on this house so we can get it ready to sale. It has been a great house but we would like to be closer to our church in Plano.

I am strongly considering going back to work after Caydence's surgery. Before I quit to be a SAHM, I was an HR lady, and I loved it. We will see job wise what the future holds for me this year.

And my new years resolution is to lose the weight. Below is a picture to help motivate me....in lighter times this is how I look.
